About Me

My harp journey began with Gael Music. At the age of 13 I was given the opportunity to learn local folk music with them. It felt as if this was exactly what I was meant to do! Luke passed me to Eleanor Dunsdon who took over as my harp teacher.

With the help of Paul James of Blowzabella I attended my very first Halsway Manor HotHouse aged 15 and had the time of my life! I have since attended 3 more Halsway Manor HotHouse courses and have performed numerous times at Sidmouth Folk Festival with them. Shooting Roots quickly snapped me up as a trainee tutor and I have done 3 years with them teaching young people to play folk music, arrange pieces and perform on stage. Steph West then carried on my harp tuition, getting me through my music A-Level and taking me all the way to Edinburgh Harp Festival with her.

I am self-employed as a harpist, harp teacher, harp book author and harp dreamer. My goal is to have fun in all of my harp lessons. Why should learning be boring?! I hope that I can offer all of my harp students opportunities similar to the ones I enjoyed when I began my harp journey.

My Favourite Beginner Harps

In 2018 I started working for Hands on Harps as a harp maker and harp teacher. I am also the author of their Rainbow Harp Book series plus a “string-putter-on-er” on their beautiful Morwenna 27 String Harps, of which I own 3 that I rent out to students.

Making the harp accessible and affordable for everyone

I’ve been lucky to work for Hands on Harps as a harp teacher and harp maker. It is such a wonderful business that designs, manufactures and sells cost effective harps perfect for beginner students.
